Privacy Statement Applicants
SPECTO Aerospace bv, and its affiliated companies, hereinafter referred to as SPECTO, respects the privacy of its applicants, in particular the rights of applicants with regard to the automated processing of personal data. To guarantee complete transparency towards our applicants, we have therefore formulated and implemented a policy with regard to these processing operations themselves, their purpose and the possibilities for applicants to exercise their rights as best as possible. Article 1 - Definitions
1. Personal data is all information about an identified or identifiable natural person. For you, this means that this data is directly about you or that this data can be traced back to you. This could be your name, date of birth or address, but also your (business) email address or (business) telephone number are personal data.
2. The General Data Processing Regulation further distinguishes between ordinary and special personal data. Special personal data are data that are extra sensitive by their nature and the processing of which is prohibited unless a specific exception applies or explicit permission has been given. This concerns in particular data about racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or belief, trade union membership, genetic or biometric data for unique identification purposes, health, sex life or criminal history.
3. The processing of personal data concerns all actions that SPECTO can take with your personal data. Actions that fall under this in any case are: collecting, recording, organizing, storing, updating, changing, retrieving, consulting, using, sending, distributing, making available, bringing together, linking, shielding, erasing and destroying personal data.
Article 2 - Accountability
SPECTO Aerospace bv processes personal data of applicants and other persons who respond to vacancies or show interest in doing work for SPECTO. SPECTO processed that personal data in accordance with the applicable privacy legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation. In this privacy statement, SPECTO informs you how SPECTO processes your personal data and what rights you have in that context. For clients and other persons with whom SPECTO maintains contact in the context of or as an extension of it SPECTO has its own privacy statement.

Article 4 - Purposes of processing
As an applicant, you provide your personal data to SPECTO or to a person affiliated with SPECTO, by post, e-mail or by issuing or providing documents or documents. It is also possible that SPECTO receives your personal data via third parties or websites, such as name and address details, training details or contact details. SPECTO only processes the personal data obtained for the purposes stated below. SPECTO will contact you prior to processing your personal data for other purposes to offer you the opportunity to object to further processing.
SPECTO may process this and other personal data provided for the following purposes:
- establishing and maintain contact
- answering questions you ask or providing information you request
- making a selection of candidates to start an application procedure
- going through an application procedure
- maintaining correct administration and internal management
- handling any complaints you may have and resolving disputes
- going through the pre-contractual phase with you and being able to enter into an employment contract
Article 5 - Legal grounds for processing
The processing in the context of the aforementioned purposes each has at least 1 legal basis. This legal grounds are as follows:
1. Consent: the free, explicit and unambiguous permission you have given to process. If SPECTO processes personal data based on this consent, you always have the right to do so withdraw consent. If processing takes place exclusively on the basis of the consent you have given, no further processing may take place after you have withdrawn your consent. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
2. Pre-contractual measures: taking measures at your request prior to concluding a contract agreement for the purpose of concluding this agreement, such as drawing up an employment contract.
3. Legitimate interest: when the processing is necessary for the interests of the legitimate interest interests of SPECTO or a third party, for example when SPECTO wishes to demonstrate that SPECTO has designed the application procedure in a fair and sincere manner, without discrimination. If SPECTO processes personal data (partly) on the basis of a weighing of interests, SPECTO will state the legitimate interests and inform you about this.
Article 6 - Personal data of applicants
SPECTO can process the following data about you as an applicant: your name, first names, initials, title if applicable, gender, photo, date of birth, address, zip code, place of residence, telephone number and other information that we need to communicate with you, such as your email address and:
- information about training, courses and internships that you have completed and will continue to follow
- information about the position you are applying for
- data regarding the nature and content of your current job, and data about its termination
- data about the nature and content of previous jobs and about their termination, other data with a view to fulfilling the position, which have been provided by you or which are known to you.
Article 7 - Consequences of not providing personal data
1. SPECTO will inform you in advance about cases in which you are obliged to provide personal data which must subsequently be processed by SPECTO on the basis of a legal or contractual obligation and/or necessary condition to conclude an agreement. In that case it will you will also be informed of the consequences associated with your possible refusal to do so to provide personal data.
2. SPECTO already makes it clear in the vacancy text which personal data are minimally necessary to admit you to the application procedure. If you do not provide this personal data (in full), you can not admitted to the procedure. Additional requests can be made at any stage of the application procedure which personal data is requested. The consequences will be explained if personal data is not provided. When SPECTO finally decides to offer you an employment contract, you will also be required to provide some personal data in order to enter into the agreement.
Article 8 - Retention periods
1. If you request general information and/or ask questions, SPECTO will store the personal data you provide to it as long as there is contact about the same subject. After no contact has taken place for four weeks, we will delete your personal data within the next four weeks.
2. If you apply or show interest in a vacancy or performing work for SPECTO, SPECTO will store your personal data as long as the application procedure is ongoing and/or mutual interest is shown in possibly entering into an employment contract. Your personal data will be deleted within four weeks after the end of the application procedure or when no further contact has taken place for four weeks. An exception to this applies if you give permission to store your personal data for a longer period. In that case, your personal data will be kept for a maximum of one year after consent.
3. In the event of a complaint or dispute about the contact or the application procedure, your personal data will be stored during the handling of this complaint or dispute. When it has been established that a complaint or dispute is resolved or ended, the personal data stored for this purpose will be deleted.
Article 9 - Provision and transfer of personal data
SPECTO does not provide your personal data to other parties. There is no transfer of data personal data to third countries or international organizations and there is also no automated data processing decision-making and/or profiling taking place.
Article 10 - Security of personal data
SPECTO has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent the loss or damage prevent the theft of personal data or unlawful processing. Personal data that you enter on the contact or application form on the SPECTO website are processed and sent via a secure connection.
Article 11 - Your rights as an applicant
Under the GDPR, you as an applicant have the following with regard to the processing of your personal data individual rights:
- the right to inspect/copy and the right to rectification
- the right to have personal data deleted
- the right to limit the processing concerning you
- the right to object
- the right to portability of your personal data.
Article 12 - Exercising your rights, exceptions and procedure
SPECTO does not have to comply in all cases with an appeal to one of the rights listed in Article 11. SPECTO will contact you within one month after SPECTO receives your appeal to one of the aforementioned rights. SPECTO will inform you whether your request will be granted or whether the assessment and response period of one month must be extended. Exercising these right(s) is in principle free of charge for you. You can exercise these rights by submitting a request via the contact details stated in this statement.
Article 13 - Complaints procedure
If, despite SPECTO's careful approach to the processing and protection of personal data, you have a complaint, you have the right under the GDPR to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
Article 14 - Changes to the privacy statement
This privacy statement has been in effect since May 29, 2024 and can be changed by SPECTO. The amended privacy statement will be published on this website. That there has been a change will be clearly announced.
Article 15 - Applicable law
Dutch law applies to these conditions. The court at the place of business of SPECTO has exclusive jurisdiction in any disputes regarding this privacy statement, except when a legal exception applies to this.
