SPECTO Aerospace is looking for a Controller who not only understands numbers but also takes colleagues along, inspires, and helps our organization grow further.

SPECTO Aerospace is a specialist in repairing and processing composite and sheet metal parts for airplanes and helicopters. In our locations at Amsterdam Lelystad Airport and Woensdrecht Air Base, we carry out certified work for renowned OEMs, Operators, and maintenance companies worldwide. We are an EASA/CAA-UK/FAA/MAA Part-145 and AS9110 certified aviation technical company, and our professionals are committed to innovation, quality, and reliability on a daily basis.

What will you be doing?

As Controller, you'll be the CFO's right-hand man and a crucial link in our financial operations and strategy. You'll contribute to operational matters, be proactive, and have a keen sense of the organization's needs, even before they've been expressed. You'll actively contribute to strengthening our financial processes and play a key role in onboarding and developing colleagues within the Finance Team.

You'll find it natural to take on basic financial tasks yourself when needed. In a small team, this is part of the job, and it energizes you.

In addition to operational tasks, you'll enjoy participating in discussions on tactical and strategic issues, contributing to the development of SPECTO.

Your tasks in brief:

• You prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings and be involved in the budget cycle

• You support the CFO and the MT, both solicited and unsolicited, on strategic and financial issues

• You monitor and optimize financial processes and reporting structures

• You analyze financial data and translate it into clear insights and advice

• You will mentor colleagues in financial matters and contribute to their development

• You identify opportunities for improvement and initiate pragmatic process optimizations, and you will actively contribute to projects related to digitalization and efficiency

• A salary between €4,700 and €6,300 gross per month, 8% holiday allowance, and 44 days off in a full-time position

• Travel allowance from the first kilometer and a good pension scheme in accordance with the Metalektro collective labor agreement

What do you bring?

You are an experienced, analytical, and connecting financial professional with a strong and open personality. You communicate easily with colleagues at different levels and convincingly share your viewpoints. In short, you know how to get others on board and you have a pragmatic approach.

In addition, you have:

• A completed HBO degree in Finance, Business Economics, or similar

• At least 5 years of relevant experience as a controller in a similar role at an SME organization, such as companies in the technology, production, and maintenance sectors

• Experience in guiding or coaching colleagues in a financial context

• A professional and committed attitude: discreet, loyal, proactive, team spirit, and a hands-on mentality

• Excellent command of the Dutch and English language and extensive experience with Excel, ICT, and ERP systems
