36 - 40 hours | Full-time | SPECTO Aerospace | Composite & Sheet Metal Repairs | Amsterdam Lelystad Airport (Lelystad)

You open markets. We deliver top-quality aircraft component repairs.

Do you want to play a key role in expanding our market position within the aviation industry in Southwest Europe? SPECTO Aerospace is looking for an energetic and commercially strong Business Development Manager who feels right at home in the world of technology and aviation.

You will work from our office at Lelystad Airport and build sustainable relationships with MROs and operators within the aviation and commercial aviation (fixed-wing market). You understand their needs, speak their language (literally and figuratively), and you know why they should choose SPECTO Aerospace.

Your role: opening markets and building long-term relationships

As a Business Development Manager, you are responsible for developing new and expanding existing customer relationships within the fixed-wing market in Southwest Europe. You will start with a focus on the French market, where you will independently work on identifying, approaching, and convincing potential customers, especially MROs and operators. Over time, this can be expanded to Spain and Portugal.

You build direct customer relationships, without the involvement of other parties. You know how to clearly translate and convey the value proposition of SPECTO Aerospace and maintain a competitive edge. You meticulously track your sales activities, collaborate with the Sales Team, and actively engage with our Maintenance Engineers to effectively translate technical customer inquiries into solutions.

In short:

  • You explore and develop commercial opportunities in France and later in Spain and Portugal

  • You directly approach MROs and operators and build sustainable customer relationships

  • You explain why SPECTO Aerospace is the partner for high-quality composite and sheet metal repairs

  • You work closely with the Sales Team and Maintenance Engineers

  • You independently initiate actions and campaigns and keep your sales administration up to date

  • You report to the Director Marketing & Sales

  • Over time, you will independently visit leads, customers, and trade shows in the region

  • A competitive salary between € 4,500 and € 6,500 gross per month for a full-time position

  • 8% holiday pay, a good pension in accordance with the Metalektro collective labor agreement, 44 days off for a full-time position, and a full travel allowance of € 0.23 per kilometer

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor level of education, preferably with an aviation technical background; a Bachelor degree in a commercial direction is a plus

  • Experience in (international) business development or technical sales

  • Fluent in French and English (spoken and written) and preferably knowledge of the Spanish language

  • Understanding of aviation-specific customer needs (MROs and operators)

  • Self-starting, entrepreneurial, driven, administratively meticulous, socially adept, and able to seamlessly switch between commercial goals and technical input

  • You are someone with vision and energy. You see opportunities before others do and know how to turn them into a plan. You do what you say, say what you do, and focus on creating value for the long term
