At SPECTO Aerospace, a certified aviation engineering company located at Lelystad Airport and at the air base in Woensdrecht, we repair high-quality composite parts for the international aviation and defense industry. What do we expect from you?

As a Composite Specialist, you work on almost all composite components used in helicopters. You are responsible for pre-processing, machining and repairing helicopter related composite parts, such as rotor blades, according to the highest industry standards. You independently build and repair accurate laminate packages and sandwich constructions. You work with prepregs, wet lay-up and vacuum injection methods with epoxy resins. Your craftsmanship and attention to detail are crucial to the quality of our work.

• You perform these activities based on approved maintenance data, which are provided to you by our engineering department
• Your core tasks include independently removing damage to the composite and accurately applying repair materials, then vacuum packing them and heating them into a final product
• You work according to the work schedule and specified described processes, which comply with Part 145 or MAA regulations
• You ensure that every step of the repair process is accurately documented
• You work according to strict safety and quality standards

What do we expect from you as a Composite Specialist?

• At least an professional secondary education working and thinking level in the field of aerospace engineering and extensive experience in the field of composites, preferably within an Aerospace environment
• Knowledge of composite materials and techniques, skill with tools and accuracy in detail work
• You are available 36 to 40 hours a week and are happy to work mainly on location
• Good command of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written
• You are a team player, disciplined and have a sense of responsibility
• Driving license B and you have a Dutch or EU passport
