As Safety & Compliance Manager at SPECTO Aerospace, you are responsible for QHSE of both our locations, where you work closely with the QHSE Officer of our location in Woensdrecht and ensure that aviation safety, compliance with laws and regulations and continuous improvement are central to SPECTO. With your extensive knowledge and experience, you get the organization moving to jointly meet the highest quality standards.

SPECTO Aerospace is a specialist in the repair and processing of metal and composite parts for aircraft and helicopters. Your challenge

As Safety & Compliance Manager, you are responsible for QHSE and you are ultimately responsible for both locations. Together with the QHSE Officer, you take the organization with you to become better every day. Of course, you ensure that certifications are maintained and you safeguard our excellent relationship with the aviation authorities. You implement and maintain management systems, perform internal audits, and supervise external audits of supervisors and customers. You ensure compliance with legislation, such as EASA Part 145, AS/EN9110, ARBO regulations and REACH, and are responsible for up-to-date quality management documentation.

You promote aviation safety within the organization in an appealing way and you provide internal training to increase awareness and knowledge level around QHSE. In the event of incidents or deviations, you take action, whether or not using risk management tools, and you report directly to the Managing Director.

Core tasks of the Safety & Compliance Manager

• Ultimately responsible for QHSE of both locations, coaching employees and monitoring compliance with aviation legislation (Part 145) and quality standards (AS/EN9110)

• Performing audits and supervising external inspections by authorities and customers, drawing up, implementing and monitoring QHSE plans and audit plans

• Ensuring timely and correct registration of incidents, audit findings, supervising follow-up, supervising implementations, change processes and expanding capabilities

• Training and informing colleagues about aviation safety, regulations, increasing quality awareness and promoting our open culture within the organization in which personal and aviation safety are paramount

• Collaborating with the QHSE Officer in Woensdrecht and coordination between our two locations to streamline, realize and manage joint processes and documentation in a structured manner

• Reporting KPIs on aviation safety and risks

• A competitive salary between €79,000 and €93,000 gross per year

What do you bring?

• Bachelor+ work and thinking level, with at least 7 years of relevant experience in the aviation industry in a similar position and a thorough knowledge of EASA Part 145, AS/EN9110, REACH and working conditions legislation

• Experience with setting up and managing risk and quality management systems, associated certifications and conducting trend analyses

• Excellent command of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written

• Proficiency in various Office programs and affinity with ICT systems

• Management and coaching skills, stress resistance and an open, active and solution-oriented attitude

• You live in the Netherlands and have a EU nationality
